Gekookte Geschiedenis

Since the launch of Free Heri Heri for All, we have been inspired to create a platform centered around the culinary heritage of the Afro Diaspora. In 2023, we introduced our digital archive, Gekookte Geschiedenis (Cooked History). This archive serves as a hub for exploring the food culture and culinary heritage of the transatlantic diaspora. By connecting with the past, we uncover how food identity has been shaped and how it influences our current habits and traditions. Cooked History is both a repository of insightful analyses on spiritual, cultural, and social threads and a collection of stories. You can now listen to these stories on our
